Tourism Australia and Air New Zealand offer six ways to experience Australia

Travelers can check Australia off their “Life List” with great deals to six Australian destinations and a Fill-a-Plane program with Go Mighty.

SYDNEY – Air New Zealand and Tourism Australia announced a million dollar partnership to encourage North Americans to check Australia off their ‘to do’ list by offering special fares to six of Australia’s top destinations.

Air New Zealand, renowned for its exceptional international product and service, is offering one low fare to six of its Australian destinations: Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Cairns, Adelaide and Coolangatta (The Gold Coast). With four North American gateways (Los Angeles, San Francisco, Honolulu and Vancouver) and connections via Star Alliance partner airlines from numerous other US and Canadian ports, Air New Zealand offers easy access via Auckland to these great destinations.

Go Mighty and #GoAustralia

Air New Zealand and Tourism Australia are also partnering with influential blogger community, Go Mighty, to showcase the “must-do” experiences Australia offers – from diving the Great Barrier Reef, one of the world’s top natural wonders, to floating in a hot air balloon over cosmopolitan Melbourne.

Go Mighty is a digital platform dedicated to helping people realize their “Life List” goals for experiences they want to have and ten influential American bloggers will travel to Australia and join with Australian bloggers and personalities, to experience a diverse array of quintessential Australian experiences.

“With its stunning landscapes, unique adventures and exceptional food and wine experiences, Australia tops many people’s ‘must visit’ destinations,” said Jane Whitehead, Tourism Australia’s Vice President, The Americas. “So the Go Mighty partnership is a great fit because these bloggers can help us show just how easy it is for people to experience for themselves why there’s nothing like Australia for an extraordinary vacation.

“Fill an Air New Zealand Plane”

To encourage would be travelers to add a trip to Australia to their own “to-do” list for 2014, Tourism Australia and Air New Zealand are offering visitors who go to Go Mighty’s #GoAustraliawebsite the opportunity to have their own Australian adventure with Air New Zealand.

Readers who express their intention to embark on an Australian journey on the site can register for a “seat” on an Air New Zealand plane. Once 332 people register, the number it takes to fill a Boeing 777-300 aircraft, a special discount will be triggered and each will receive a unique coupon code for travel in 2014. They will then have to book by New Year’s Day – setting their intentions for 2014.
