Site lived a Chinese experience in Beijing

More than 400 professionals of 43 nations attended Site's Global Annual International Conference where specialists shared their experiences and debated about new trends, such as the future of China as an incentive Mecca for motivational events.

Site Global celebrated its annual International Conference in Beijing City, between September the 14th and 17th, when the most important incentive industry executives met, leaded by the Site President  2012, Alejandro Verzoub.

More than 400 professionals of 43 nations attended the Conference where specialists shared their experiences and debated about new trends, such as the future of China as an incentive Mecca for motivational events.

In that context, Alejandro Verzoub president of AV Business & Communication and Site’s president was welcomed by the mayor of Beijing and all his senior officials delegation, who transmitted the importance that an event of that magnitude was organized in the city.

“In Site and our space we have different possibilities to work with you in the near future”, transmitted Verzoub to the major.

Sean Mahoney, Global Vice President of Corporate & Incentive Sales of Silversea,  the Conference Chairman, remarked: “In our industry, where going “above and beyond” is the norm, Beijing did its best to demonstrate how each of us could recommend or even deliver an incentive program in this wonderful city”.

On the farewell night the outstanding chapters of 2012 were recognized and Site members honored for their passion and work during the year. The President of Mexico’s Chapter, Julia Trejo, was named ‘Site member of the year’, while Pablo Sismanian, Meeting Tourism Coordinator at Inprotur, Argentina, was awarded with the ‘Kevin Forde Spirit Award’.

Some of the special experiences in Beijing were: tour through a section of the historic Great  Wall of China, an evening at  the Water Cube, a stadium used during the 2008 Olympic Games, and one night at the Forbidden City in Tamaio, where some board Directors dressed up as ancient emperors.

“I recognize the great effort and challenge that was to organize this event in China”, concluded Alejandro Verzoub, as he specially mentioned that “we enjoyed a fantastic experience and are extremely satisfied with the diverse positive comments we received from attendees of this Beijing Conference”.
