IATA calls for systematic COVID-19 testing before departure
IATA’s public opinion research revealed strong support for COVID-19 testing in the travel process. Some 65% of travelers surveyed agreed that quarantine should not be required if a person tests negative for COVID-19. -
Aeroflot restarts regular flights to Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Kazakhstan and South Korea
Aeroflot announces that international service between Moscow and Kyrgyzstan (Bishkek), Belarus (Minsk) and Kazakhstan (Nur-Sultan) will restart over the next week. Regular service between Moscow and South Korea (Seoul) will restart on 1 October.Flights to the Kyrgyz capital begin on 23 September. Flight SU1882 Moscow-Bishkek will operate once per week, on Wednesdays, and the return flight SU1883 Bishkek-Moscow will operate on Fridays.

IATA comment on studies regarding onboard transmission of COVID-19
While the risk of transmission on an aircraft is low, passengers can take additional precautions to further lower the risk. Following guidance to wear a mask or face covering provides significant protection to all onboard. -
Proposed Environment Tax will destroy jobs and fail to decarbonize aviation, says IATA
GENEVA - The International Air Transport Association (IATA) warned that proposed new environmental taxes in France will fail to decarbonize the aviation sector and eliminate 150,000 French aviation jobs.
The Convention Citoyenne pour le Climat (CCC) - a citizens’ body created under President Macron – is proposing a series of measures to curb aviation emissions, including an eco-tax on tickets issued in France, to raise 4.2 billion euros annually. France already imposes some of the heaviest aviation taxes in Europe.
