Vueling carried 1,158,272 passengers in July, up 3.6% year on year

For the first time, Vueling’s monthly traffic figures for July 2010 can be compared on a year on year basis with post merger figures for 2009, as the merger was completed in July 2009.

Europe’s new-generation airline, carried 1,158,272 passengers in July, representing a 3.6% increase year on year.

First results of the integrated company

Last 27th of July Vueling published second quarter results for 2010. These results have been the first ones to account for twelve cumulated months following its merger with Clickair.
 
Vueling EBIT boosted to €75.8M in the first twelve months after its merger, increasing more than 4 times the EBIT obtained in the twelve months period before the merger (€16.7M). Vueling also reiterated its guidance for an improved net profit in 2010 as a result of its cost reduction program and the capture of merger synergies.
 
July 2010 was also the first month in which connecting flights were operated from Barcelona Airport. The results are in line with company targets.
