Vietjet’s fleet increases to 20, with latest aircraft delivery

Since Vietjet started its operations three years ago, the airline has doubled its commercial fleet, resulting in the transportation of approximately eight million passengers thus far.

SINGAPORE – Vietjet Aviation Joint Stock Company (“Vietjet”) has received its latest Airbus craft, taking its total fleet count to 20 and enabling the airline to now offer more than 10,000 seats per week across all domestic and international routes.

The delivery of LZ-BHF, which is the third of the 100 Airbus A320s ordered by the airline in September 2013, is a timely addition to Vietjet’s fleet as the travel demand looks to increase during the upcoming peak season in Vietnam for the Tet holidays.

Since Vietjet started its operations three years ago, the airline has doubled its commercial fleet, resulting in the transportation of approximately eight million passengers thus far. Vietjet currently operates 26 domestic and international routes. It offers daily flights from Singapore to Ho Chi Minh City where travellers can easily connect to other cities within Vietnam via the airline’s extensive network of domestic flights. In addition, other international routes include Bangkok, Siem Reap, Taipei and Seoul.

VietJet offers express check-in at all airports for passengers over 65 years of age, expectant mothers, and families travelling with infants. Passengers with special needs and requirements are encouraged to approach VietJet’s express check-in counters for priority boarding and assistance with carry-on luggage.
