Triton Distribution Systems, a web-based travel services distributor, has signed an endorsement agreement with National Association of Independent Travel Agencies – Philippines (NAITAS), further strengthening its presence in the Southeast Asia travel market.
With over 1,000 members, NAITAS is the largest association of independent travel agencies in the Philippines. The endorsement by NAITAS promotes the use of Triton`s travel distribution technology among NAITAS members to book airline, cruise, hotel, car rental, tour packages and other travel inventory. In 2005 alone, NAITAS members booked more than $900 million in airfares.
Some 150 independent travel agencies in the Philippines will now be using the Triton system, with 600 agencies expected to be signed by the end of September. Triton has recently opened an office in Manila in The Enterprise Building in Makati City, Manila`s business and financial center. This is underscored by the company`s previous announcement of accreditation with the Philippines Economic Zone Authority (PEZA).
Triton Distribution Systems has also established liaisons with the Philippine Travel Agencies Association (PTAA), the country`s largest travel and tourism organization, as well as with the Philippine Tour Operators Association (PHILTOA) and the Philippine IATA Travel Agents Association (PIATA).
