Tribute Portfolio debuts in Southeast Asia with The Hermitage, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Jakarta

Starwood’s 10th brand continues rapid first year growth with debut hotel in Indonesia.

JAKARTA, Indonesia – Tribute Portfolio, part of Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc., announced its debut in Indonesia with the opening of The Hermitage, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Jakarta. Owned by PT. Menteng Heritage Realty, the brand’s newest hotel is situated in the heart of Jakarta’s prestigious Menteng district, with service and design that encompass both modernity and a bygone era. The Hermitage is set to introduce the brand’s Stay Independent vision to Indonesia’s bustling capital, providing SPG members greater access to coveted destinations such as Jakarta.

Tribute Portfolio arrives in Indonesia
The Hermitage, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, Jakarta occupies a stunning Art Deco structure, with the original building dating back to 1923 as a Dutch Telecommunications office, the Menteng Telefoongebouw. It has been since beautifully restored, with 90 elegant guestrooms and suites that boast high ceilings and large windows, allowing an abundance of natural light to fill the room, as well as stately décor, rich indigenous textiles and plush furniture.
 
The hotel features four different dining and bar destinations, ranging from locally-inspired rooftop cocktails at La Vue to light fare such as patisseries at the al fresco Courtyard Café. Guests can enjoy luxurious facilities overlooking the glittering Jakarta skyline, including a serene rooftop infinity pool and fitness center. The hotel also provides close to 400 square meters of function space, including an opulent grand ballroom and a versatile meeting room.
 
The Hermitage, Jakarta offers convenient access to Jakarta’s most intriguing attractions, including the National Museum; the National Monument, a 132-meter-high structure with an observation deck; and Alun Alun, a one-stop shop for Indonesian arts and crafts from a myriad of islands.
 
As with all of the brand’s properties, The Hermitage, Jakarta features a noteworthy selection of #ourlikes, a list comprised of distinct moments found at each Tribute Portfolio hotel that illustrate what guests love about “staying independent.” These socially-sourced vignettes go beyond the typical hotel brochure to highlight the secret spots, must-sees and can’t-miss experiences at each Tribute Portfolio property.

Tribute Portfolio debuted in April 2015 with its first hotel, the Royal Palm South Beach Miami. In addition to Miami and Jakarta, guests can also enjoy additional Tribute Portfolio hotels in London, UK; Las Vegas, NV; Palm Springs, CA; and Hokkaido, Japan. The brand will soon open new hotels in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida; Costa Mesa, CA; Asheville, North Carolina; Nashville, Tennessee; Savannah, Georgia; and Charleston, South Carolina.
