Tourism e-kit receives national recognition at Australian Tourism Awards

The Tourism e-kit recently entered the “Hall of Fame” after winning the Queensland Tourism awards over three consecutive years and has now won Silver in the national awards for a second time.

SYDNEY – At the Australian Tourism Awards event held in Sydney last Friday night, the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse (ATDW) was awarded silver for the Tourism ekit in the training and education category!

“It is a tremendous honour for the Tourism e-kit to be recognised in this category and to share the stage with professional training organisations, more so as we are not a registered training organisation and the ekit is a self-paced learning programme”, commented Liz Ward.

Representing ATDW at the event, Liz Ward, CEO said that she wanted to thank the industry for their recognition and support. “The ATDW team may appear like a small business, but in fact the team that makes ATDW, and indeed the fabulous tourism ekit a success, is a vast interconnected community of digital and tourism experts.”

“I’d also like to acknowledge the people that contribute to the constant maintenance and improvements in making this resource relevant and beneficial to industry. To the team at ATDW, in particular Wendy Smith and Sally Smith, whose passion and commitment to the industry is evidenced by the tremendous energy which they invest and the high quality work that they produce,” said Ward.

“ATDW continues to enjoy the proud support of our owners, the STOs and Tourism Australia, as well as great relationships with many of the regional tourism organisations and industry associations in order to ensure the Australian industry gets the best value they can from the ATDW digital platform.  Collectively, we all want to see the Australian tourism industry be the best in the world at digital distribution,” concluded Ward.

The Tourism e-kit recently entered the “Hall of Fame” after winning the Queensland Tourism awards over three consecutive years and has now won Silver in the national awards for a second time.
