Tiger Airways touches down in Adelaide again

Tiger Airways is back since November 1st to Adelaide with two daily frequencies from Melbourne.

MELBOURNE – Tiger Airways Australia touches down in Adelaide on November 1st, marking its return to South Australia with two daily return services from Melbourne Tullamarine Airport. The airline’s twice daily return services will provide over 5,000 visitor seats weekly through Adelaide Airport in time for the peak holiday and Adelaide festival season.

Adelaide Airport Ltd Managing Director, Mark Young, welcomed the return of Tiger Airways. “Tiger’s return provides a greater choice of flights for our customers,” Mr Young said.

This benefits South Australians heading interstate and provides local tourism opportunities by attracting more visitors to SA.  These new flights are a further boost to the ongoing growth of Adelaide Airport’s business across our domestic and international sectors.”

Referring to a recent Roy Morgan Domestic Airline Satisfaction index, which showed a 29 percentage point increase in satisfaction between June and September 2012, Vanessa Regan, Head of Marketing and Communications for Tiger Airways Australia, noted that consistently great value airfares combined with Tiger’s ongoing focus on operational excellence are encouraging more Australians to experience the benefits of flying with Tiger.

In the last 13 months we have flown around two million Australians – many of them repeat passengers – and they have provided overwhelming positive feedback about the ‘new Tiger’ that we are bringing back to South Australia.

Ms Regan used today’s announcement to reiterate that the airline will unveil further network expansion plans in the future. “We are a volume based business and fly where consumer demand dictates. We continue to talk to our tourism and airport partners as well as listen to our customers. Collectively this will help decide the destinations we will fly to next.
