Swissôtel welcomes fourth property in Thailand

Swissôtel Resort Phuket Patong Beach has a total of 383 well-appointed and spacious guestrooms, thoughtfully designed with contemporary accents of warm yet vibrant colours inspired by the tropical beauty of Phuket.

SINGAPORE – Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts is pleased to announce that the brand’s fourth property in Thailand and second in Phuket – Swissôtel Resort Phuket Patong Beach – has officially joined the brand’s global portfolio. Formerly the dusitD2 Phuket Resort, Swissôtel Resort Phuket Patong Beach is the second resort for the hotel group on the island, joining Swissôtel Resort Phuket Kamala Beach. The resort, ideally situated just minutes from the beach, offers travellers an exceptional base from which to explore Thailand’s largest island, which was named one of the Top 3 Island Destinations by Condé Nast Traveler magazine in 2013.

“We are very excited to provide guests with locally-inspired experiences while remaining true to Swissôtel’s philosophy of genuine hospitality,” said newly-appointed general manager David Jamieson. “Guests who stay with us can look forward to an authentic vacation in Phuket, with a touch of Swiss hospitality.”

The resort targets leisure and MICE guests from both regional and long haul markets including North and South East Asia, Australia, United Kingdom, continental Europe and the Middle East. To better cater to the growing meetings market, a new ballroom with capacity up to 350 people will open in July 2016, offering 345 square metres of fully-equipped meeting and banquet facilities, including Wi-Fi, state-of-the-art technology and audio-visual equipment. The resort also has four other meeting rooms for smaller gatherings and events.
