During the 47th Skål Asia Area Congress that is being held in Macau from 21 to 24 June, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Pacific Asia Travel Association (PATA) and the international association of tourism professionals Skål International to join their efforts in the promotion of responsible tourism in Asia. The CEO of Skål International, Daniela Otero, stated that the tourism economy in Asia has increased exponentially in recent years and that the agreement was very important for development of Skål in that area. The agreement was signed by the CEO of each organisation respectively, Ms. Daniela Otero and Mr. Mario Hardy.
