Singapore Flyer launches premium flights for historic 2008 Grand Prix night race

Singapopre FlyerCatch all the action from ground to 165 metres in the sky from the world’s Largest Giant Observation Wheel.

Witness the heart-pumping action of the first Formula One Grand Prix night race this September from an equally unprecedented ground-to-air vantage venue: the iconic 165-metre-tall Singapore Flyer, the world’s largest Giant Observation Wheel.

600 exclusive Singapore Flyer Premium Suite passes –priced at S$5,500 per person (excluding 7% GST) and includes a three-day trackside pass –are now available to be a part of this momentous event. During the three days of circuit action, Singapore Flyer Premium Suite pass-holders will enjoy complimentary 30-minute champagne flights atop the Flyer as they admire a panoramic bird’s eye view of the race –as well as the dynamic Singapore cityscape and neighbouring Malaysia and Indonesia – from the comfort of 28 climate-control observation capsules. Each revolving full glass-panelled capsule can accommodate 26 guests.

Overlooking the grandstand, the custom-built 5-star Singapore Flyer Premium Suites will frame along the level 2 and 3 balconies of the Flyer’s Retail Terminal building, located next to the racing action. Guests can enjoy an open bar, free flow of premium champagne, the Singapore Flyer Signature Cocktail, a 5-star culinary menu and wine selection, as well as access to outdoor prime views by the trackside, among other privileges.

Each Singapore Flyer Premium Suite can accommodate 20 guests. Companies can purchase tickets in multiples of 20, as the suites are also conducive to cater to larger groups. Mr Steven Yeo, General Manager, Singapore Flyer Pte Ltd said, “Singapore Flyer’s Premium Suites offer spectators privileged trackside access as well as prime aerial views of about 80 per cent of the street circuit.

“The revolving panorama atop the Giant Observation Wheel, complemented with customised 5-star hospitality suites, renders Singapore Flyer an unrivalled venue to experience the exhilaration of the first Formula One Grand Prix night race.”

Also available for reservation are the Singapore Flyer Private Capsule Champagne flights. From the privacy of their very own capsule, guests can admire the revolving panorama and immerse in the city race adrenaline as they enjoy premium champagne and a platter of strawberries and chocolate during the 30-minute flight.

Priced from S$3,500 to S$10,000 per private capsule (excluding 7% GST), Singapore Flyer Private Capsule Champagne Flight packages are available on 26, 27 and 28 Sept, from 8.30 am to 11 pm. They do not include trackside passes, which are necessary to access the circuit park. Singapore Flyer is located within this circuit park.

More ticketing categories are available at Singapore Flyer during the Formula One race weekend and will be announced shortly.
