Rajat Chatterjee newly appointed as General Manager of Le Méridien Chiang Mai

Before joining the Le Meridien, Chiang Mai Mr. Chatterjee held several positions at multiple hotels under Marriott International spanning major cities in Asia and Middle East.

CHIANG MAI, THAILAND – Le Méridien Chiang Mai, the luxury hotel conference venue in the charming city of Northern Thailand, announced the appointment of Rajat Chatterjee as the new General Manager. 

Mr. Chatterjee has over 25 years of international hospitality experience ranging from rooms to food and beverage operations with
International hotel chains. Before joining the Le Meridien, Chiang Mai Mr. Chatterjee held several positions at multiple hotels
under Marriott International spanning major cities in Asia and Middle East including the JW Marriott, Mumbai, Courtyard by Marriott, Chennai, Goa Marriott Resort & Spa, JW Marriott, Bangalore and the Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites. Prior to moving to his new home at the Le Méridien, Chiang Mai, Mr. Chatterjee spent 3 years in Bangkok as the General Manager of Bangkok Marriott Hotel Sukhumvit and Marriott Executive Apartments Sukhumvit.

Recognized for his accomplishments with numerous awards and accolades over the years, Mr. Chatterjee was awarded the General Manager of the Year for 2013 and his hotel the Dubai Marriott Harbour Hotel & Suites was recognized as the Hotel of the Year in 2013 for Marriott International Middle East and Africa Region. He was also recognized as the best opening GM for the Courtyard Brand Internationally in 2006 as well as the Leadership Excellence award for Asia Pacific region at the Goa Marriott Resort in 2008.

With his 25-year career in the hospitality industry and extensive knowledge and experience, Mr. Chatterjee is a great asset to the
Le Méridien, Chiang Mai. The hotel, under his leadership, will continue to provide guests with creative and inspiring moments
according to the Le Méridien culture, while striving to further enhance service quality and brand value into the future.
