Preferred Hotel Group hosts inaugural E-Distribution and Revenue Management Workshop in India

Representatives from 19 member hotels attended the 3-day event at The Imperial, New Delhi.

Preferred Hotel Group™, a global provider of sales, marketing and distribution services to independent luxury hotels, held its first-ever E-Distribution and Revenue Management Workshop in New Delhi, India from 11 to 13 June 2014. The three-day event was attended by 27 executives from 19 different independent hotels across Preferred Hotel Group’s portfolio in South Asia and the Middle East who gathered to gain a 360-degree understanding of distribution, including online marketing, reputation management, and CRS best practices.

The forum, which was held at member hotel The Imperial, was led by select members of Preferred Hotel Group’s specialized revenue management team and specially invited guest speakers who guided attendees on how to navigate the latest trends. Guest speakers included Rohit Manghnani – Business Head and VP – Hotels at Yatra; Deepesh Saxena, Territory Manager, India, TripAdvisor; Narayan Rajan – Founder & CEO, iVista Digital Solutions; Ashish Kishore, Country Head HRG Dnata; and Yogeesh Chandra, Vice President, Enterprise Solutions, RateGain. At the end of the workshop, member hoteliers went away with the tools and knowledge base necessary to maximize their hotel’s revenue and profitability using the Total Branded Connectivity® distribution platform.

As technology continues to evolve at an ever increasing rate, the impact and influence of online distribution channels have blurred the line between revenue management and online marketing roles. Hotels must now focus on the online journey of the guest and how various elements of internet and booking channels influence consumer decisions,” says Saurabh Rai, Area Managing Director, South Asia & Middle East. “The Preferred Hotel Group team in India conceptualized this workshop to help independent hotels understand how the constant evolution of the online market place influences the consumer perception of a hotel brand and how they can maximize their success in staying ahead of the competition.”
