The three-hour workshops in Nelson Bay on Wednesday October 15 and Wednesday October 22 are open to all businesses in Port Stephens and will be run by Naomi Farrelly from local tourism marketing and training company, Lighthouse Tourism.

Janelle Gardner from Destination Port Stephens said the training course would help equip any local business with the tools needed to cope with the summer holiday rush in Port Stephens.

Our workshops will focus on the importance of delivering exceptional customer service, understanding customers, dealing with complaints and responding to feedback,” Ms Gardner said. “Quality customer service is a must for any business, especially in Port Stephens, where tourists spend more than two million visitor nights a year and growing.”

There is no point working all year on excellent customer service and then having it all fall apart for three weeks over the Christmas holidays because you are busy. These days, with social media, there is no room for poor customer service at anytime of the year.  Great customer service that exceeds expectations is very affordable to manage and can make all the difference to the reputation and bottom line of any business wo we hope as many businesses in Port Stephens as possible take advantage of these invaluable training sessions.

The two workshops will start at 10am at The Nelson Resort in Nelson Bay on Wednesdays, October 15 and 22, 2014. Advance registration is required.
