Laucala Island has enlisted world renowned wellness specialist, Mala Barua to focus on enhancing guest’s health and well-being through the fusion of the best natural therapies.

HONG KONG  –  In its search for the best and most natural form of healing and well-being, Laucala Island resort have welcomed on board the renowned, highly sought after wellness spa and healing expert, Mala Barua. In the entire month of August, the well- being guru will be spending time at the resort to study individual client needs, channelling the ancient wisdom of eastern spiritual knowledge with practices such as yoga, tai chi, Ayureveda and the popular Inner Silence Meditation.

Five and ten day immersion programmes, specially planned, designed and run by Mala Barua aimed at strengthening individual wellness practice are exclusively available on Laucala Island in August.

Laucala’s spa experiences are unlike any other, and with its four treatment villas each with a private treatment room, guests can lose themselves in an Ayurevedic sanctuary, or by reviving body and mind with daily yoga and tai chi. The resort is focused on improving guests health and well-being through the fusion of the best natural therapies, mainly from the natural resources of the island. Ingredients such as Wainimate (herbal medicines from curing plants), and Qele (indigenous roots, woods and spices), are incorporated into the spa menu based on traditional rituals that combine old South Pacific and modern techniques.

The island resort is surrounded by tropical gardens and breath-taking seascapes in which guests can balance both mind and body in the richness of the exotic environment. The Spa Garden is located in the heart of the spa, where guests are invited to explore and learn about Fiji’s tropical flowers, fruits and herbs and spices. All of these ingredients are used in the preparation of the spa products, and guests are even offered the chance to create their own essential oil in the resort’s very own distillery.

The eco-friendly resort focuses on supporting the local community and embracing local culture, and a stay at Laucala Island will give you a true authentic sense of being on a Fijian Island. There is an emphasis on locally-sourced fresh food throughout the hotels cuisine, with the majority of ingredients coming from the islands organic farm and herb and vegetable garden.
