Fairmont Peace Hotel unveils stunning new rooftop and mezzanine events spaces

Boasting awe-inspiring views of the Huangpu River and the city skyline of Pudong, the roof terrace and mezzanine level offer more than 1,000 square metres of additional event space.

HONG KONG – Recognised as the city’s premier venue for conferences, ceremonies and corporate functions, Fairmont Peace Hotel now offers new additional event spaces with two exclusive private dining rooms at the roof terrace as well as two function rooms at the mezzanine level.

Set against a backdrop of some of the most iconic sites of Shanghai including the Bund, the roof terrace houses two of the most exclusive private dining rooms in the city. The Scotland Room is a 25 square metre space with a high ceiling and is designed with dark wood paneling, rich upholstery and plush leather chairs that is reminiscent of a traditional English gentleman’s club. In addition, the England Room covers 35 square metres. Both of these rooms have been named in honour of the British founder of the hotel, Sir Victor Sassoon.

Adjacent to the roof terrace is the Nine Heaven Hall, which was once used exclusively for Sir Victor’s private parties. It has been perfectly restored to its original 1920s splendor and offers a 270-degree view of the river. The two private dining rooms and the Nine Heaven Hall make up the extension of the roof terrace.

The hotel’s mezzanine level houses the Chun Shen Room, which was the original name of the Huangpu River. The 215 square metre space features floor-to-ceiling windows with natural daylight and has been immaculately designed with wood paneling and original cast-iron windows to complement the Art Deco style of Fairmont Peace Hotel. It also offers a compelling view of the Bund that will lend any event a sense of excitement and prestige. The room can accommodate up to 100 people in a banquet set-up and 160 people in a theatre set-up.

Adjacent to the Chun Shen Room sits the new Thames Room, a magnificent 110 square metre space overlooking historic Dian Chi Road and Huangpu River. Blending the Fairmont Peace Hotel’s opulent design with modern corporate comforts and amenities, the Thames Room can accommodate up to 50 people in a banquet set-up.

The new function rooms offer cutting-edge audio-visual technology as well as high-speed wireless Internet access. In addition, a full-service Business Centre is available to provide comprehensive support for all technical needs.
