Code share agreement between the SIA Group and Shenzhen Airlines

SIA, Silkair and Shenzhen Airlines signed a code share agreement for frequencies between Singapore and Shenzhen.

SINGAPORE- Singapore Airlines and SilkAir customers travelling between Singapore and Shenzhen now have a choice of two daily flights, as a result of a new codeshare agreement with Shenzhen Airlines.

Under the agreement, SIA will add its ‘SQ’ code and subsidiary SilkAir will add its ‘MI’ code to Shenzhen Airlines-operated flights between Singapore and Shenzhen.

On a reciprocal basis, Shenzhen Airlines will add its ‘ZH’ code to SilkAir-operated flights between Singapore and Shenzhen. SilkAir currently operates daily flights to Shenzhen and Singapore Airlines codeshares on those services.

Tickets for the codeshare services are now open for sale and flight details can be found on the airlines’ websites. Customers are advised to check on the airlines respective websites for updates to flight schedules.

Singapore Airlines and SilkAir together operate 172 weekly services to 11 destinations in China, namely Beijing, Changsha, Chengdu, Chongqing, Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Kunming, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Wuhan and Xiamen.

The three carriers are all members of Star Alliance.
