Celebrity Chef Harlan Goldstein creates an exclusive HK$88,000 wine and dine experience at Gold by Harlan Goldstein.

One-star Michelin restaurant, Gold by Harlan Goldstein, has introduced an exclusive eight-course gastronomic journey for eight persons, featuring luxury ingredients and gourmet dishes that will impress even the most discerning gourmand.  The dinner will also feature eight superlative wines, handpicked by celebrity chef Harlan Goldstein. The “8” with Harlan Goldstein dinner will take place in Gold’s exclusive private room.

Celebrity chef Harlan Goldstein is known for being a bold culinary genius, not afraid to do things his way. A philosophy that has resulted in gaining Michelin stars for his restaurants. His introduction of the exclusive “8” with Harlan dinner at one-star Michelin restaurant, Gold by Harlan Goldstein, is his latest maverick move.

“The number eight represents fortune, so I wanted to create a unique menu that celebrated this auspicious number, while showcasing Gold’s Michelin-starred cuisine and fantastic wines, that are also personal favourites,” says Harlan Goldstein.

The luxurious menu will be seasonally driven and will change on a regular basis. The current menu begins with a tantalising Warm Potato Chive Blini, Iranian Caviar, Lemon Crème Fraîche, that will be paired with Salon, Blanc de Blanc 1990; and the divine Brittany Blue Lobster Carpaccio, Smoked Salmon Roe, Blood Orange, Organic Beetroot and Pistachio, which marries perfectly with the Domaine Jacques Prier, Montrachet  2009.

Next is the sensational 48-Months Aged Iberico 5J Ham, Taleggio Fritters and Apricot Jelly served with Henri Jayer, Vosne-Romanee 1988. The indulgent menu continues with Japanese Abalone and Foie Gras Tart, Crispy Oyster Veal Glazed with a glass of Leoville Las Cases, Pauillac 1982, followed by the earthy Hand-Crafted Tagliolini Pasta, Italian Testa and Winter Black Truffles that pairs sublimely with the Chateau Mouton Rothschild, Pauillac 1996.

This is followed by the unctuous Sardinian Suckling Pig Slow-Cooked In Mirto Leaves, Daikon, Sauerkraut and “3” Mustard Sauce served with the Vega-Sicilia, Unico 1990, and the final savory course, the decadent 80-Day Aged Spanish Wagyu Beef, Porcini Mushroom Custard and French Black Winter Truffles paired with Dal Forno Romano, Armarone della Valpolicella 1998.  

Completing the culinary extravaganza is Chocolate Truffle Meringue, Raspberry, Crispy Walnuts, Mint and Passion Fruit Jus, served with the superb Chateau d’Yquem, “Y” 2004.

With only one table per night available advance booking is a must.
