Barcelona Asian Tour 2013

Bangkok has been decked out in the Barca colours for the team’s visit as part of its Asian Tour. Barca fans in the region have shown just how crazy they are for the team and have been there to watch all of the different events involving the players.

BANGKOK – Qatar Airways is following FC Barcelona (FCB) on their Asian Tour 2013 as they arrived in Bangkok to the excitement of the entire Thai football community.  The occasion marks the club’s return to Thailand for the first time since 2002.  The team started off this morning with training in the Thai Army Stadium before heading off to the famous Siam Square in central Bangkok to say “hello” to their fans. This evening, the team will be training again, this time in Bangkok’s Rajamangala National Stadium.

Qatar Airways has seen rapid growth in just 16 years of operations, currently flying a modern fleet of 127 aircraft to 128 key business and leisure destinations worldwide.

Qatar Airways has so far launched six destinations this year – Gassim (Saudi Arabia), Najaf (Iraq), Phnom Penh (Cambodia), Chicago (USA), Salalah (Oman) and Basra (Iraq).

Over the next few months, the network will expand with the addition of further destinations – Sulaymaniyah, Iraq (August 20), Chengdu, China (September 3), Addis Ababa, Ethiopia (September 18), Clark International Airport, Philippines (October 27) and Philadelphia, USA (2 April 2014).
