BANGKOK, Thailand – The construction of Amari Johor Bahru is progressing on schedule. Amari Johor Bahru recently welcomed Datuk Tee Siew Kiong, Chairman of Tourism, Trade and Consumer Affairs of Johor State, to pour the final concrete on the 19th floor and celebrate the hotel’s development milestone.
Developed by United Malayan Land Bhd (UMLand) and managed by ONYX Hospitality Group as an Amari property, the hotel will be part of the 1.42-acre Suasana Iskandar Malaysia integrated commercial development in Johor, comprising of residential spaces (serviced apartments), retail hubs and hospitality components. Amari Johor Bahru will feature 242 guest rooms, the signature all-day dining Amaya Food Gallery, Breeze Spa and creative meeting venues. Construction is expected to be completed before the end of 2016.

Commenting on the development, Mr. Peter Henley, President & CEO, ONYX Hospitality Group said, “We are honoured to be in collaboration with UMLand on the development of our first Amari property in Malaysia.
