Air China expands domestic and international flight routes

Air China has announced that it will be expanding a number of its domestic and international flight routes. On the domestic side, Air China has launched four new routes. On the international side, Air China has launched two new routes, one between Beijing International Airport and Tokyo Haneda International Airport, the other one between Hangzhou and Frankfurt.

Starting on December 20, 2009, Air China will resume its Beijing-Madrid-Sao Paulo service. Starting on October 25, Air China will increase the number of flights from Beijing to Stockholm, with an A330 departing from Beijing every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday. Concurrently, Air China will offer a daily flight from Beijing to Rome for the first time. In addition, starting on October 27, Air China will launch a direct flight from Hangzhou to Frankfurt.

From December 14, 2009 to January 31, 2010, there will be five weekly flights between Beijing and Sydney. From November 30, 2009 to February 27, 2010, there will be five flights a week between Beijing, Shanghai, and Melbourne, departing every Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. To better accommodate the increasing interest in the Japanese tourism market, from October 25, Air China will add two daily flights between Beijing International Airport and Tokyo Haneda International Airport, a new Tokyo route, bringing the total number of daily flights between Beijing and Tokyo to five.

To accommodate the increasing demand for domestic flights, from October 25, Air China will launch three new domestic routes, including Beijing to Daqing, which will depart daily; Chengdu to Zhuhai, which will depart every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, and Sunday; and Shenzhen to Dazhou, which will depart every Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

On August 31, 2009, Air China launched routes from six Mainland cities to Taipei. Twenty-seven roundtrip flights are available every week, including seven from Beijing, six from Shanghai Pudong airport, five from Hangzhou, four from Chengdu, three from Chongqing, and two from Tianjin.
