Accor hotels in Japan expands with a new budget IBIS property in Kyoto

Accor welcomes the opening of its latest property, the Ibis Styles Kyoto Station with ‘Japan Winter Sales’. The Kyoto hotel is the first Ibis brand in Japan.

TOKYO – They are two “firsts” to be celebrated by Accor in Japan. For the first time in fact, Accor is present in Japan’s old capital Kyoto. The opening of the Ibis marks a second first for the French chain which is also  celebrating the first ever Ibis Styles in Japan. The Ibis Styles Kyoto Station has 215 rooms and is strategically located just in front of Kyoto Station, the city’s main railway station and transportation hub. To welcome this newest hotel to the network, participating Accor hotels in Japan have launched an exciting “Japan Winter Sales” promotion, offering 15% savings for stays of two or more nights.

“The opening of ibis Styles Kyoto Station marks another milestone for Accor in Japan as this is the first ibis Styles brand hotel in the country, and the first Accor hotel in historic Kyoto,” says Eric D’Ignazio, Country Director for Accor Japan.

“Slated as one of the country’s top tourist destinations, we have longed for a hotel in Kyoto and are very excited to finally operate one here. With the addition of this hotel to our Japan network, we will have a total of 10 hotels under four hotel brands: Novotel, Mercure, ibis and ibis Styles.”

Ibis Styles is Accor’s renowned economy hotel brand that offers comfortable accommodation with a unique personality at an affordable price. Ibis Styles Kyoto Station’s rooms reinforce practicality of space and functionality, while offering full amenities that brings comfort to all types of guests. Other facilities include a restaurant for breakfast, an internet corner, and a laundromat.
