The Russian demand for Spain has broken a record of pre-crisis period

According to ATOR Analytical Service, the tourist flow from Russia to Spain increased by 19% in 2010 in comparison with 2008. So, the year of 2010 became the best in the history of the Russian tourism in dynamics of the growth with the indicator of 43.4%. The forecasts of the Russian tour operators for the current year are rather optimistic as well.

Russia gained two positions in 2010 taking the lead over Austria and Finland in comparison with 2009 and 2008. Russia takes 14th place in the rating of arrivals to Spain.

It may well be so, that the current year will become more successful. The operators announced repeatedly that Spain may become a good replacement for Egypt. However, Spain attracts a bit different category of the tourists. Those, who are interested not only in beach holidays, but in excursions as well. One cannot forget that just few Spanish hotels offer All Inclusive system which attracts the Russians in Egypt and Turkey.
