Premier Inn India increases online bookings to over 20% with RateTiger

With the growth in online bookings, Premier Inn India felt the need to upgrade from the web-based SimpleDistribution channel manager to the more sophisticated RateTiger RTSuite to better manage different aspects of distribution to maximize online reach and revenue.

NEW DELHI – Leading mid-market hotel group Premier Inn India has found the ideal way to manage its online room distribution. The group has been making big gains in the online travel space in the past 24 months by using the popular RateTiger hotel channel manager.

With the growth in online bookings, Premier Inn India felt the need to upgrade from the web-based SimpleDistribution channel manager to the more sophisticated RateTiger RTSuite to better manage different aspects of distribution to maximize online reach and revenue. The group uses the new RTSuite 3.0 to centrally manage room rates and availability in real-time across more than 10 connected Online Travel Agents (OTAs). Group Revenue Manager Vikrant Sharma was able to execute a focused online sales strategy to increase the number of bookings via the RateTiger global distribution network. Based on market demands, the group now makes timely rate and inventory updates thereby helping increase their internet reservations.

Vikrant Sharma, Revenue Manager at Premier Inn India states, “RateTiger is a pioneer in the hotel channel management space. We have seen our online bookings improve to represent over 20% of all bookings for both the properties over the last two years. This has been a result of placing immediate rate and inventory updates and adding new promotions through RateTiger efficiently. We can make quick rate decisions and implement them immediately without having to call the OTAs or going through any laborious update process.”

Premier Inn has two operational properties in India – Premier Inn, Bangalore, Whitefield and Premier Inn, New Delhi, Shalimar Bagh. The group is soon launching three more properties in India – Pune, Goa and Chennai.

RateTiger, by eRevMax, offers a large network of extranets including large global OTAs as well as smaller niche channels focused on specific target groups and regions. This helps Premier Inn India to spread out its inventory on relevant channels, to gain maximum visibility and further increase online bookings.
