HotelAsia2014 returns to serve booming Asian hospitality industry

From food processing to cooking equipment, HotelAsia is the main event where buyers from all across Asia will gather to source for the latest food service products.

SINGAPORE – Some of the world’s largest hotel chains are looking to Asia as their main focus for expansion in the coming years. Starwood Hotels and Resorts Worldwide has 153 pipeline projects in Asia, while InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) plans to double its Southeast Asian presence, and Accor has planned for 45 per cent of its 104,000 new rooms to be located in the Asia Pacific.

This growth coupled with more tourist arrivals, an increasing number of airlines and a vibrant F&B scene, is testament to the region’s ever expanding hospitality industry. The upcoming 19th edition of HotelAsia is well poised to serve this growing demand. The event is one of the region’s most anticipated international trade exhibition of hotel, restaurant and foodservice equipment, supplies and services. From food processing to cooking equipment, HotelAsia is the main event where buyers from all across Asia will gather to source for the latest food service products.

To be held from 8-11 April 2014 at the Singapore Expo, with about a year to go, HotelAsia2014 has already attracted interest from major local and international industry players.

A gathering of key industry players
HotelAsia is highly anticipated among industry leaders in Singapore. These anchor firms look forward to and strongly support the show by exhibiting repeatedly. Some prominent companies who will be exhibiting at next year’s event include Apexlink, Continental Equipment, Cretel Food Equipment, Fabristeel, K&Q Bros Electrical Engineering Company, Jackie’s Enterprises, Nayati, Simplex, Somerville and Steel Industries.

Lured by the continued growing scale and success of the show, international industry leaders have also booked their spaces early to participate in HotelAsia2014. They include, Ali SpA, Alto-Shaam, Bravo SpA, Cambro Manufacturing Company, Eurochef, Greenfield World Trade, Henny Penny Corporation, Mastercool – Easybest, Middleby Xme SL, MSM Equipment Manufacturer, Pregel SpA and Rational International AG.

The show will also see international participation in the form of group pavilions from countries/regions such as Austria, China, France, Germany, Italy (two pavilions), Portugal, Spain, Turkey and USA. Each pavilion will showcase their country’s unique hospitality capabilities.

Conferences and Competitions at HA2013
Hailing from all over the world, more than 40,000 industry attendees converge at the event every two years to not only source for products and services, but to also network and establish business partnerships, as well as gather latest knowledge from industry veterans.

The specialised show will feature conference highlights from industry heavyweights who are drivers of the food and hotel industries. Come 2014, delegates attending the FHA International Conference can look forward to in-depth analysis into topical areas across various critical global hospitality industries.

Other show highlights include, the National Team Challenge held once every four years as part of the FHA Culinary Challenge (FCC) – Asia’s most prestigious culinary competition which also features the Gourmet Team Challenge, Dream Team Challenge and over 15 classes of individual competitions.
