ANA and Air China to commence code-sharing on Tokyo Haneda – Beijing

Star Alliance members Air China and ANA will commence a code-sharing agreement on flights operated by both airlines between Beijing Capital International Airport and Tokyo’s Haneda Airport from October 25 this year.

Beijing is the fourth city to be included in the international destination line-up from the normally domestic-only Haneda Airport, joining Seoul, Shanghai and Hong Kong.  Thanks to the proximity of Haneda airport to the centre of Tokyo, customers of Air China and ANA travelling between the capitals of both countries will enjoy shorter and more convenient journeys.

Air China will put its code on the daily flight of ANA, while ANA will put its code on the twice daily flights of Air China on this route, giving customers the choice of three daily Air China or ANA flights between Beijing and Haneda.  Furthermore, thanks to the membership of Air China and ANA in Star Alliance, customers will also enjoy reciprocal mileage accrual and redemption, as well as lounge and other benefits where applicable.

With this agreement in place, both airlines will offer between them 106 weekly flights between Tokyo and Beijing, and a total of 271 flights per week between Japan and China.
