Over 500 global travel leaders gathered in Singapore for WiT 2024 to discuss innovations shaping the future of travel and technology.
SINGAPORE – More than 500 global travel leaders convened in Singapore for the start of the annual Web in Travel (WiT) conference. This year’s event, themed “Next Generation,” was dedicated to exploring the shifting trends in travel and how the industry can adapt and innovate to meet the evolving needs of travelers in today’s ‘next gen’ landscape.
The conference, which took place October 14-16, 2024 at the iconic Marina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre, served as a launchpad for discussions and discourse about new opportunities in travel tech. The event brings together industry leaders to explore the many influences – from shifting demographics in the region to Artificial Intelligence – shaping the travel landscape in Asia.
“We are thrilled to welcome such a diverse and influential group of travel leaders to Singapore for WiT 2024,” said Siew Hoon Yeoh, founder of Web in Travel. “The ‘Next Generation’ theme reflects the urgent need for the industry to embrace innovation and adapt to the rapidly changing travel landscape. We are confident that the discussions and insights shared at this event will help shape the future of travel.
“Our event aims to help the industry grasp this fast-growing theme in travel, as well as honouring this pivotal moment in travel’s history. We’re helping current leaders grapple with how to move forward, guided by but unfettered by the past, to create an industry for the Next Generation of travellers, talent and leaders.”
WiT Singapore 2024 provided a platform to navigate a generational leap in technology, with Gen AI leading the charge. The programme explored a range of critical topics, including decluttering the noise around AI, the future of travel talent, innovations in travel sustainability and even space travel.
Last month, WiT unveiled its stellar speaker line-up, which includes leaders from Booking.com, Trip.com, Pan Pacific, Accor, JetBlue Ventures, Wego, Klook, Expedia Group, and many more.
