BRISBANE, AUSTRALIA – Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, the world’s largest hotel franchisor and leading provider of hotel management services, has expanded presence in Australia with the introduction of  its world-renowned Ramada by Wyndham brand in Brisbane with the addition of a 61-room midscale hotel in Queensland’s capital city.

Ramada by Wyndham Brisbane Windsor was previously known as the Brisbane International Windsor Hotel and has rebranded after light refurbishments. Known for encouraging travellers to sample the world, Ramada offers more than 850 hotels spanning more than 60 countries, including 22 hotels in Australia alone.

The hotel is nestled in the city’s inner northern suburbs, just five minutes from downtown Brisbane and close to an array of local attractions, including the Brisbane RNA Showgrounds, The Royal International Convention Centre, and The Gabba. It is also a convenient 15-minute drive from Brisbane Airport.

As the largest city in Queensland and a key economic and tourism centre for the whole of Australia, Brisbane is an impactful new destination for the Ramada brand, which has enjoyed strong traction in this country. Guests can look forward to the familiar hospitality and quality accommodation expected from the well-known Ramada brand at our new Ramada Brisbane Windsor,” said Joon Aun OOI, President and Managing Director, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts, South East Asia and Pacific Rim.

Brisbane welcomed almost 1.3 million overseas visitors in 2017 and the city’s airport is now directly connected to 29 international destinations. China is now the largest visitor source market for the city and the Ramada brand will help to boost the hotel’s profile among international guests,” Mr Ooi added.

Ramada by Wyndham Brisbane Windsor offers 61 rooms and suites, all of which will be equipped with comfortable bedding, working desks, and free Wi-Fi. A selection of triple rooms are ideal for families, while the hotel’s suites feature kitchenettes and spacious living-dining areas for guests who may require a little more space and comfort.

A range of facilities are available for business travellers and event guests, including two conference rooms and a boardroom, to host a variety of occasions from corporate conferences to weddings. Additional hotel offerings include a restaurant specialising in authentic Italian cuisine, an outdoor swimming pool, a fitness room, and complimentary on-site parking.

Brent Christofferson, Hotel General Manager, commented, “As one of the most famous names in the hotel industry, Ramada is the perfect fit for our hotel, allowing guests to enjoy world-class accommodation and amenities in a prime location on the doorstep of the city’s leading corporate sites, sporting arenas, and tourism attractions. By harnessing the global power of Wyndham and the Ramada brand, we’re in a position to become one of the leading midscale hotels in the city.”

Ramada Brisbane Windsor is Wyndham Hotels & Resorts’ second property in Brisbane, joining the existing TRYP by Wyndham Fortitude Valley Hotel Brisbane.

Throughout South East Asia and the South Pacific, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts currently has more than 120 hotels operating under its Ramada Worldwide by Wyndham, Wyndham Grand, Wyndham, Wyndham Garden, Days Inn by Wyndham, TRYP by Wyndham, Howard Johnson by Wyndham, and Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham brands.

Ramada by Wyndham Brisbane Windsor participates in Wyndham Rewards, the simple-to-use, revolutionary loyalty program from Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
