Dalip Singh joins Montigo Resorts as CEO, spearheading global growth and overseeing key properties, including Ellen Kensington and Charlton House.
KOP Limited announced the appointment of Dalip Singh as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of its hospitality arm, Montigo Resorts. Singh brings his extensive experience in global hospitality to lead the brand’s strategic growth, he will spearhead Montigo Resorts’ ambitious global expansion strategy and oversee new hotels Ellen Kensington and Montigo Resorts, Somerset at Charlton House, as well as flagship properties in Indonesia.
Singh’s first major project as CEO will be overseeing the launch of 105-key Ellen Kensington, which is managed and operated by Montigo Resorts and is KOP’s first urban hotel. The opening of Ellen Kensington marks a significant milestone in the growth strategy of Montigo Resorts as it looks to expand with more city hotels in the UK and Ireland. Situated in the heart of London’s iconic Kensington district, Ellen Kensington is currently in soft-opening with its restaurant The Lacquer Room slated to open in mid-November.
Ellen Kensington is inspired by the elegance and charm of the Victorian era’s leading lady, Dame Ellen Terry. The hotel comprises thoughtfully designed guestrooms and suites set across five interconnected Victorian period townhouses, overlooking the historic Barkston Gardens. It brings entry level luxury to London, with exceptional standards of Asian hospitality meeting exceptional prices from only £240 a night.
Singh will also oversee Montigo Resorts, Somerset at Charlton House, a Grade II-listed, 28- bedroom English country house and thermal spa that opened in 2023 in the heart of Somerset.
The two Indonesian properties will also come under Singh’s leadership. Flagship Montigo Resorts, Nongsa is a panoramic beachfront resort in Batam, Indonesia, renowned for its private villas, family-friendly activities, and award-winning spa services. Montigo Resorts, Seminyak is a contemporary retreat in Bali that combines expansive suites with world-class dining and wellness experiences, catering to luxury travellers and families seeking a relaxing escape in one of the island’s most vibrant areas.
Dalip Singh was a member of the founding management team of Montigo Resorts. He was an integral part of KOP Limited for five years from 2011 – 2016, making this appointment a homecoming. To the role of CEO Singh brings over 25 years of experience in luxury hotel management. His career highlights include leadership roles with prestigious brands like Pan Pacific, The Ritz-Carlton, Dusit International, Shangri-la and Hyatt. Singh’s expertise in driving revenue growth, enhancing guest satisfaction, and achieving operational excellence has earned him numerous industry accolades.
With Singh at the helm of its hospitality arm, KOP aims to expand Montigo Resorts’ footprint to other markets within the next 10 years, building a Montigo Community worldwide, where like-minded individuals can network, mentor, celebrate diversity and values.
