Vietnam attends APEC Forum on creative economies in tourism

Vietnam National Authority of Tourism joins APEC forum in Peru to explore creative economies’ role in future tourism growth and job creation.

The Vietnam National Authority of Tourism‘s delegation led by Vice Chairman Ha Van Sieu attended the APEC tourism working group’s forum with the topic “Impact of creative economies on the future of tourism in APEC region” in Cusco, Peru.

The forum attracted the participation of developed and developing economies and academic institutions, tourism experts.

This was an opportunity to discuss the importance of creative economies in driving economic growth and job opportunities in the tourism sector in APEC economies through fostering an understanding the role and potential of creative economies in the future of tourism.

Experts shared presentations related to design, arts, crafts, music, foodways and content creators, to support the APEC’s Putrajaya Vision 2040 and Aotearoa Plan of Action.

The one-day event had three sections including: Power of arts for the tourism sector, Collaboration between creative and tourism sectors, Innovation and technologies in creative tourism. Delegates also had a group discussion on researches related to the impact of the creative economy on tourism.
