ONYX Hospitality Group is set to make a strong impression at WTM London 2024, running until the 7th of November 2024. ONYX Hospitality Group will spotlight its expanding portfolio and ambitious growth plans, aiming to attract leisure travellers to its diverse properties, ranging from vibrant resorts to luxury serviced apartments.
As part of its strategic expansion, ONYX Hospitality Group will highlight its ambitious target to manage over 50 hotels and residences by 2025, with plans to grow this number to 70 by 2028. Currently, the group manages 46 properties under its renowned brands: Amari, OZO, Shama, and Oriental Residence.
Two highly anticipated new openings include Amari Colombo, Sri Lanka in Q4, 2024 and Amari Vientiane, Laos in Q1, 2025, further cementing the company’s presence in key Southeast Asian markets.
ONYX Hospitality Group will highlight other upcoming openings in Malaysia, including Shama Medini and OZO Medini, reinforcing the company’s strategic growth focus in key Southeast Asian markets as it continues in its journey to become the best medium-sized hospitality management company in Southeast Asia. ONYX is focusing on growth in key markets, including Thailand, Malaysia, and expanding into destinations including Laos, Sri Lanka, China, and Hong Kong.
The UK market remains a critical focus for ONYX Hospitality Group, particularly in light of the anticipated resumption of British Airways’ direct flight from London Gatwick to Bangkok in April 2025.
At WTM, ONYX Hospitality Group will celebrate Oriental Residence Bangkok joining the prestigious Small Luxury Hotels of the World collection, alongside its recent recognition with a MICHELIN Key award for 2024. These accolades highlight the property’s commitment to delivering an unparalleled luxury experience and solidify its reputation as a leader in world-class hospitality.
“We are excited to present our ambitious growth and our portfolio of world-class properties at WTM London. The UK remains a key market for us, and we are committed to offering exceptional leisure and luxury experiences for every type of traveller,” said Yuthachai Charanachitta, CEO of ONYX Hospitality Group.
In addition, ONYX Hospitality Group is celebrating the remarkable success of its Shama brand, which has experienced significant growth and expansion. With a 200% increase in Thailand over the last five years and a leading position in Hong Kong’s serviced apartment market, Shama has established itself as a top choice for modern travellers. The success is complemented by the recent launch of an exciting new campaign that embodies the brand’s core philosophy: showcasing the concepts ‘Freedom to Explore’ and ‘Live Your Blended Life at Shama’, offering guests the perfect balance of work, leisure, and exploration in a seamless, integrated lifestyle. The campaign, accompanied by a new brand video, reflects Shama’s commitment to creating immersive, community-driven experiences for guests.
