Is the industry doing all it can to secure its own future? This is one of the key questions that will be asked of international industry leaders when they confront the major issues facing the meetings and incentive industry at the AIME Business Events Forum, held on the opening day of AIME 2004 in Melbourne next February.

Reed Travel Exhibitions, with the assistance of leading industry figure Elizabeth Rich, has once again put together a strong opening Forum which, based on previous years, is expected to be a sell out.

Called Face to Face with Future Reality, this interactive Forum will raise current industry issues under the scrutiny of an experienced moderator and an industry audience.

Are we masters of our own destiny? Can meetings prove their own worth? How can we improve our potential? Who are our real competitors? Are we effectively dealing with the fallout from today`s nervous global environment, and overcoming the security and travel challenges? Where`s the vision for the industry?

Join in, or just listen to the debate, either way this is a session not to be missed at AIME 2004.

On Wednesday 18 February, the second day of AIME 2004, a practical workshop will be held, where all participants can get involved.

Entitled Meeting and Beating Event Challenges, this interactive workshop will allow participants to share invaluable knowledge gained from real event management experiences.

Led by some of the best practitioners in the business, the audience will have the opportunity to hear how to overcome crises which plague the high risk business of conferences and events.

Share experiences, learn from others, or pose your own problem for the group to solve. It might relate to security, contracts, event marketing, sponsors, profitability, or other issues – you decide.

AIME 2004, AsiaPacific Incentive and Meetings Expo, will be held on 17 & 18 February 2004, at the Melbourne Exhibition and Convention Centre, Australia. AIME is the largest and most economically significant event in the region. More than 2,600 people are expected to attend AIME 2004 including 400 Hosted Buyers from throughout the world.
