First OTA in South East Asia to adopt NDC, embracing advanced retailing capabilities to personalise the traveler’s experience.
As travellers regain the confidence to travel, they will expect service that goes above and beyond what was the norm. With this change, travel sellers need to think creatively about how to build better experiences, developing technology and new approaches.
tiket.com has seized the opportunity to innovate and will be the first OTA to adopt NDC in South East Asia, in a landmark partnership with Amadeus which will enable its customers increased options, via a full range of NDC content. The OTA will now be able to access NDC offers from carriers that are connected on the Amadeus Travel Platform. This will include special seat selection, baggage, and other personalized offerings.
tiket.com will be able to source additional NDC-enabled content that is available on Amadeus Travel Platform using the Amadeus Travel API. This NDC-enabled solution gives OTAs in the Asia Pacific and across the world access to new content and fares from airlines via NDC connectivity and supports travel agencies worldwide with scalability, personalized shopping and servicing unparalleled in the industry today.
Andi Hendrawan, Senior Vice President of Commercial, tiket.com, says, “We are excited to be the first Online Travel Agent in South East Asia to partner with Amadeus on NDC. It’s a key milestone I believe will help us at tiket.com to increase our transaction volume capability, system cost efficiency and accuracy. Sebastien Gibergues, Vice President, Online Travel Asia Pacific Region, Amadeus, says, “Through this partnership, tiket.com will be able to benefit from a truly integrated platform of end-to-end technology across its business.
