What can you get up to when in Las Vegas?
Las Vegas is one of the most well-known destinations in the United States, from an exterior point of view at least, thanks to the flashy lights and world-famous casinos, but how much do you really know about the famous city?

In this article, we’ll be discussing in detail the top 5 things that you can do in Las Vegas that we’re sure you’ll love. Whether you prefer to travel in style and stay in hotels like the MGM Grand Hotel or stay in something a little more low budget, we’re sure we have an activity here for you.

1. Visit the Grand Canyon
The Grand Canyon is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, and with good reason. The canyon is massive, stretching over 277 miles long and 18 miles wide, with depths of up to a mile. It’s an awe-inspiring sight that’s definitely worth the journey. While it mightn’t be in the city itself, it’s closely associated with Las Vegas thanks to its relatively close proximity and ease of access if you’re staying nearby.

There are plenty of ways to see the Grand Canyon, but we recommend taking a helicopter tour. It’s an unforgettable experience, and you’ll get to see the canyon in all its glory from above. The place is steeped in history and has played a crucial role in the history of the United States, ranging from its old connection with native tribal traditions to modern-day America and the fascination it attracts from all over the world.

2. Have some drinks
No trip to Las Vegas would be complete without a visit to the world-famous Las Vegas Strip, which is home to some of the most extravagant hotels and casinos in the world. This 4-mile stretch of road is what Las Vegas is all about, and it’s where you’ll find most of the city’s nightlife. The strip is constantly buzzing with energy, and there’s always something going on, whether it’s day or night.

If you want to experience the true Las Vegas party scene, you need to visit one of the many nightclubs that line the strip. These places are famous for their endless parties, and they’re definitely not for the faint-hearted. Be prepared to spend a lot of money if you want to drink and party here, but it’s definitely worth it for the experience. Some of our favorite clubs include XS, Marquee, Hakkasan, and Omnia. It ain’t cheap, but you’ll have a great time.

3. See a show
Las Vegas is also well-known for its shows, ranging from world-famous musicals such as The Lion King and Phantom of the Opera to more adult shows such as Absinthe and Zumanity. There really is something for everyone in Las Vegas when it comes to performances, so you’re sure to find something that interests you no matter what your taste may be.

Some of our favorite shows in Las Vegas include Absinthe (an adult circus show), The Lion King (a classic Broadway musical), David Copperfield (a world-renowned magician), and Cirque du Soleil (a world-famous acrobatic troupe). These are just a few examples, but there are plenty more where they came from, so make sure you check out what’s on during your stay. Just as is the case in New York, seeing a show when you’re in town is an absolute must.

4. Go gambling
Of course, no trip to Las Vegas would be complete without at least trying your luck at one of the many casinos that line the strip. Gambling is synonymous with Las Vegas, and it’s one of the main reasons why people visit the city in droves every year from all over the globe. Even if you’re not a big gambler, it’s still worth checking out some of these iconic casinos just for the experience, if nothing else.

Park MGM is a favorite for people in the city because it not only serves as a hotel but also as a place where you can eat some excellent quality food at their famous grill. While you’re there, you can also have a drink or two (we aren’t counting) and place some bets on the sport. It’s a state-of-the-art location, and we think you’ll have a great time there.

5. Take a walk down the strip
Last but not least, one of the best things that you can do in Las Vegas is simply take a walk down the strip and take in all of the sights and sounds. This is definitely one of our favorite things to do in any city, not just in Las Vegas, as it allows you to really soak up the atmosphere and get a feel for the place. The best way to experience somewhere new is to walk its streets, and this is definitely the case with Las Vegas.

There’s no better way to see all of the fantastic hotels and casinos than on foot, and you’ll also get to people-watch, which is always enjoyable. If you want to make your walk even more special, then we recommend doing it at night when all of the lights are on, and everything is lit up. It’s an unforgettable experience that we’re sure you’ll love.
