Vietnam Tourism is officially on air on CNBC

The series is broadcast on the CNBC channel and its digital platforms such as Youtube, Facebook, Linkedln and Twitter.

In celebration of New Year 2022, on January 17th, CNBC – the world leader in business news and real-time financial market coverage, has officially broadcasted the interview with Vice Chairman of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism Ha Van Sieu on Vietnam tourism.

There is an episode in a special short-form episodic series about tourism, called “CMO NOW: The Road Ahead”, featured under CNBC to give out interviews with senior global marketing leaders on solutions to tourism recovery in the context of the new normal. The series is broadcast on the CNBC channel and its digital platforms such as Youtube, Facebook, Linkedln and Twitter.

In 2 short-form episodes with a total length of 2 minutes, the leader of Vietnam National Administration of Tourism shared about solutions to restore Vietnam tourism industry post Covid-19 pandemic, in which focusing on ensuring safety at tourist destinations, strengthening media communication, promotion, innovation and digital transformation.

Vice Chairman Ha Van Sieu implied Vietnam is a country rich in potential, with diversities of natural and cultural resources. ‘Live Fully in Vietnam’ is the message that Vietnam would like to convey to tourists all over the world, to invite visitors to Vietnam. Additionally, Mr. Ha Van Sieu emphasised that Vietnam Tourism is further focusing on high-class and business travellers, creating superior products, delivering unique experiences to visitors at luxury resorts in Da Nang, Nha Trang… 

Especially, referring to the role of technology in tourism, Vice Chairman Ha Van Sieu shared with CNBC: Vietnam National Administration of Tourism has developed an application called ‘Vietnam Safe Travel’ with modern technologies to support personalise travellers’ experience as well as ensure safe and consistent travel.

About the tourism trend post Covid-19 pandemic, the Vice Chairman spoke of his thought that tourists will choose small group tour forms as their priority, back to nature, and safe destinations. Sustainable tourism at the moment also includes health ensurance, safety for tourists and the well being of local communities in the destination. Vice Chairman Ha Van Sieu concluded ‘Tourism has the ability to connect people, hearts, create happiness and massive values to our lives’.
