Trip Affiliates Network (TAN) announces its expansion into China

TAN confirms its latest partnership with Shenzhen JL-Tour.

LONDON – Trip Affiliates Network (TAN) announced that it has partnered with Shenzhen, China’s leading B2B hotel wholesaler, in a move that will extend TAN across China, enabling tour and activities operators to unlock new profitable paths to growth at a transformational period for the travel industry.

Shenzhen JL-Tour (JLT), owned by Tongcheng Group, is the latest member to join the Trip Affiliates Network (TAN), providing an open ecosystem to traditionally offline B2B channels such as travel agencies, wholesalers & corporate travel intermediaries.  TAN delivers dynamic live room rates and inventory to achieve higher efficiency. JLT will be working closely with TAN on specialised Joint Destination Marketing Campaigns (JMDC) with partnering ecosystems in order to drive awareness of selected destinations while expanding the network of partners in the region.

JLT and TAN both have years of experience in developing hospitality and travel technology and solutions. This latest partnership will help drive TAN’s global mission to help tour and activities operators navigate the increasingly complex digital landscape.

Joy Yan, Product Director at Shenzhen JL-Tour, said “We look forward to this collaboration. We will enable TA Network to access a range of resources from the Chinese mainland and distribute them across many channels.  TA Network provides a broad range of resources, solutions and connected partners across the region which will open new and exciting opportunities for JLT. TA Network offers multi-channel management solutions through their partnerships with Siteminder and Rategain which will enable JLT to connect with overseas hotel groups easily.”

Josef Foo, Managing Partner TA Network said “TA Network brings together Asia Pacific’s agencies, wholesalers, travel management companies, hotels, airlines and attractions on a single platform to collaborate more effectively and raise their direct business volume with one another.”

He added “This partnership with JLT represents TA Network’s first foray into the Greater China region and is testament to the exceptional team here.  We are gathering critical mass as an ecosystem, helping tour and activity wholesalers improve market share and grow their direct bookings, while focusing on their channel relationships and building on long term profitability.”

With this model, partners and service providers will be more flexible and proactive in expanding sales channels, partnerships and listing tourism products. TA Network’s platform is designed to leverage technology solutions adopted by hotels and wholesale agents to facilitate direct connectivity and automate their inventory management processes. This eliminates the issues with manually maintaining hotel contracts due to human error.
