Thailand’s stringent health surveillance systems for disease control help tourism and travel activities go on as usual.
The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is releasing a daily collection of photos with daytime weather situations at various attractions across Thailand.
Starting from Friday, 21 February, 2020, TAT’s latest initiative is to let the photos speak for themselves that Thailand’s tourism and travel activities are continuing as per usual.
The daily photos showcase charming natural, historical and cultural attractions as well as the local way of life at major and secondary destinations across Thailand. They can be viewed at TAT’s various online communication channels including the TAT Newsroom’s website, and its social media channels.
Some of the daily photos released between Friday, 21 February and Tuesday, 25 February included the Grand Palace in Bangkok, Doi Suthep in Chiang Mai, Ko Poda in Krabi, Wat Rong Khun in Chiang Rai, Sam Phan Bok in Ubon Ratchathani, Ko Lipe in Satun, the Sukhothai Historical Park in Sukhothai, Ko Ngam Noi in Chumphon, Wat Phrathat Lampang Luang in Lampang, Amphawa in Samut Songkhram, and Phimai Historical Park in Nakhon Ratchasima.
Today’s photos are of Hua Hin Beach in Prachuap Khiri Khan, Wat Sothonwararam in Chachoengsao, Wat Phumin in Nan, Phra Maha Chedi Chai Mongkol in Roi Et, and Songkhla Old Town in Songkhla.
Amid the concerns on the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). TAT would like to assure all tourists that Thailand has robust health surveillance systems and effect measures for disease control.
All tourism-related businesses, both in the Thai public and private sectors across the Kingdom, have stepped up hygiene measures and are working together to combat the virus.
These stringent health surveillance systems help tourism and travel activities go on as usual.
TAT would like to emphasise that the Thai tourism industry will do everything possible to strictly implement preventive measures and heighten active surveillance for all tourists in Thailand to protect all from being exposed to the virus. This is consistent with the policy of the Thai tourism industry to provide and maintain quality services.
Our recommendations for all incoming visitors are to “travel safely” by practising daily hygiene habits: frequently wash hands with water and soap or alcohol gel; avoid touching eyes, nose, and mouth; strictly comply with the recommendations of “eat cooked food, use serving spoons and wash hands”, and wear hygienic masks when in a crowded area.
While travelling, avoid close contact with anyone with cold or flu-like symptoms, avoid visiting crowded places, and wear a surgical mask if you have respiratory symptoms.
The TAT’s offices in Thailand and around the world are ready to help and act as coordination centres for those people wanting any information updates on the COVID-19 situation in Thailand.
