Sustainability at the core of ICC Sydney’s 2023 Menu Collection

Australia’s premier convention, exhibition and entertainment venue drives sustainability best practice through its culinary service.

International Convention Centre Sydney (ICC Sydney), managed by ASM Global, released its 2023 Menu Collection developed by its in house team of culinary experts. Featuring low carbon menu options denoted for easy selection, the collection allows event organisers to make more sustainable (and diverse) food choices across six core menus.

ICC Sydney CEO and Group Director – Convention Centres, ASM Global (APAC), Geoff Donaghy says that the latest menu offers event organisers another avenue to make a positive difference to the environment and community, while also supporting First Nations owned businesses.

“ICC Sydney’s exemplary culinary team has selected the highest quality fresh and seasonal produce to create world class dishes that have been reviewed to estimate the carbon footprint associated with the farming, harvesting, production, and transportation of ingredients.

“As part of our ASM Global ACTS schedule of activities and as a signatory to both the Exhibition and Event Association of Australasia’s Sustainable Events 2030 Pledge and Joint Meetings Industry Council’s Net Zero Carbon Events Pledge, we are building on our Feeding Your Performance culinary philosophy, which has sustainability at its core.

“ICC Sydney’s new menu gives event organisers the opportunity to make a positive contribution to our planet, as well as our suppliers, as we continue to add more First Nations businesses to our supply chain,” Mr Donaghy said.

ICC Sydney Director of Culinary Services, Lynell Peck says the new menu collection, complemented with the venue’s signature 100% local wine list, takes guests on a gastronomic tour of New South Wales (NSW) with more than 130 local producers across our supply chain, celebrating the unique and diverse flavours of the region, brought to life by ICC Sydney’s world class chefs.

In classic ICC Sydney style, our new Menu Collection caters for all event formats and delegate palates. With a focus on sustainability and diversity, event organisers can make informed choices from across 186 low carbon options from the Breakfast, Lunch, Plated, Canape, Morning Tea and Afternoon Tea, and Indian Feast menus.

“We couldn’t be more excited to make a positive difference through our Menu Collection in 2023, supporting our clients to make sustainable food and beverage selections,” Ms Peck said.
