Singapore broadens VTLs to 6 more countries, resumes flights to India and more

From middle of December 2021, travellers from Thailand, Cambodia, Fiji, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Turkey will be able to visit the country quarantine-free.

Singapore is positioned to reclaim and rebuild Singapore’s Changi Airport status as an international aviation hub with global connectivity through broadening of travel lanes. Here are some important updates:

  • From middle of December 2021, travellers from Thailand, Cambodia, Fiji, Maldives, Sri Lanka and Turkey will be able to visit the country quarantine-free. The new travel lanes will bring the total number of countries under VTLs to 27. 
  • Singapore will resume commercial flights with India through its vaccinated travel lane (VTL) facility with six designated flights daily from Chennai, Delhi and Mumbai
  • Singapore, will defer the launch of VTLs with Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) until further notice
  • From last Saturday, November 27. 2021, travellers with recent travel history to Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa and Zimbabwe was no longer allowed to enter into or transit through Singapore until further notice
