MyNEXT 2019 optimises benefits for Malaysian Associations

Experts share insights on how to effectively manage associations and develop the capacity to lead their sector at MyNEXT 2019.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – The congregation of Malaysian association leaders and professionals – the Malaysia Association NEXT 2019 (MyNEXT 2019) is back for its fifth year, themed “Building Capacity of Malaysian Associations; Optimising Benefits for Malaysian Associations”.

Held in Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, the conference aims in providing education and networking opportunity for Malaysian associations from the experts.

This flagship forum, initiated by Malaysia Convention & Exhibition Bureau (MyCEB), presents a niche nexus to access cutting-edge insights, exchange ideas, network, express thoughts and debate issues that impact the future growth sustainability of associations in Malaysia.

“We are aiming to increase the number and size of association events being held in Malaysia. To date we have a total of 142 leads from 2010-2018 bringing an estimated economic impact of RM3.1 billion to the country. It is crucial for MyCEB, as an agency under the Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture Malaysia, to create a common platform to share knowledge and strengthen ideas among local associations and their executives”, as stated by Datuk Zulkefli.

Participants of MyNEXT 2019 will learn from experts with strong understanding of the industry; gain opportunity to network and share ideas with other Malaysian associations; motivate volunteers and employees about the importance of their association; develop the capacity of Malaysian associations to lead their sector; and learn leadership development.

This year, MyNEXT 2019 offers outstanding array of speakers and interactive programme prepared for this year’s edition. For a full list of MyNEXT 2019 speakers, please refer to Annex A.

This event recorded a total of 120 delegates and expected to increase in coming years. Moreover, Malaysia will be celebrating the Visit Malaysia 2020 campaign, aiming to boost 30 million tourist arrivals and RM100 billion in tourist receipts which is in line with the Ministry’s aspiration.
