After being put on hold due to the pandemic, starting September 1, citizens from 28 countries in the EU and Schengen Agreement can enter Korea without a visa for up to 90 days. However, a visa is required for visitors seeking profit or employment.

Also starting September 1, travellers from visa-waiver agreement countries must also sign up for K-ETA, Korea Electronic Travel Authorization, in order to visit the country without a visa. Registration is available on the K-ETA mobile application or website, available in Korean and English.
Countries with an open visa-waiver agreement
- 24 EU countries: Greece, The Netherlands, Denmark, Germany, Latvia, Romania, Luxemburg, Lithuania, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cypress, Sweden, Spain, Slovakia, Estonia, Austria, Italy, Czech Republic, Croatia, Portugal, Poland, France, Finland, Hungary
- 4 Schengen countries: Norway, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Iceland
K-ETA
- Must register at least 24 hours prior to boarding
- 10,000 won fee
- Valid for 2 years (multiple entry allowed)
