Research and Markets has announced the addition of Silver Series – Worldwide Category Reports to their offering. This is an ongoing research programme involving interviewing international travellers about their travel patterns, shopping behaviours, and general shopping attitudes.

Since mid 2001, the programme has intercepted travellers from over 30 nationalities at 14 of the world`s largest and highest traffic airports. At each airport location, this programme focuses on the top 8 visiting nationalities, plus departing residents. International visitors are intercepted at the point of departure, so that they are able to report shopping patterns in the destination, as well as in the airport.

This report covers 40 product categories including confectionery, cosmetics, fashion, liquor and tobacco. The report provides worldwide coverage and gives detailed analysis on the types and amounts of purchases by travellers.

Silver Series reports are the culmination of three years of work. Since 2001, travellers from over 30 nationalities have been intercepted at 14

airports worldwide.
