Radisson RED Vientiane set to open in early 2025, topped off

La Vie Hotels & Resorts and Radisson Hotel Group top off Radisson RED Vientiane, Laos’ first, ahead of its Q1 2025 opening.

VIENTIANE, LAOS – La Vie Hotels & Resorts’ first hotel in Laos, Radisson RED Vientiane, has been topped off and is set to open in the first quarter of 2025.

The hotel being developed in partnership with owners TK Group Co., Ltd and the Radisson Hotel Group, will be the first Radisson RED branded hotel in the country.

The opening of the milestone hotel marks an exciting chapter for both La Vie Hotels & Resorts and Radisson Hotel Group, as it marks the group’s expansion into Laos, which is experiencing unprecedented tourism growth.

The new hotel opening is part of a Master Collaboration Agreement between La Vie Hotels & Resorts and Radisson Hotel Group to drive expansion in key strategic growth markets including Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, Thailand, Singapore, Cambodia, Myanmar, Malaysia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Maldives, Bangladesh, Fiji and Vanuatu.

At the topping-off ceremony for the hotel, Ms. Siphonekham Douangdara, Executive Vice President of TK Group Co., Ltd stated, “I am extremely proud to mark this momentous occasion of Radisson Red Vientiane topping-off ceremony. I would like to thank La Vie Hotels & Resorts and Radisson Hotel Group for their partnership in developing this landmark hotel. This ceremony brings us one step closer to realizing our vision of opening an internationally branded hotel in the heart of Vientiane. We are grateful to the dedicated team of Jitsamrit Development without whom this achievement would not been possible. Radisson RED Vientiane will introduce a new era of dynamic and stylish hospitality to Laos’ capital city, with standout social spaces and designs tailored for guests to unwind in a casual hotel setting. “

This opening is well-timed for both La Vie Hotels & Resorts and Radisson Hotel Group. Laos welcomed a total of 674,196 visitors in the first six months of this year, an annual increase of 26 percent to June 30, 2024. The country is aiming to attract over 4.6 million visitors and earn tourism revenues of USD 700 million this year, which has been designated “Visit Laos Year 2024.

Radisson RED Vientiane is a new-build property in the heart of the city, surrounded by government offices, shops, markets and restaurants, and just a short distance from the Mekong River waterfront. This upscale lifestyle hotel will offer 145 rooms and suites, swimming pool, pool bar, restaurant and fitness center. The hotel’s function space, including ballrooms and meeting rooms will establish it as one of Vientiane’s leading venues for business events and functions.

Vientiane’s Wattay International Airport is just 15 minutes drive from the new Radisson RED hotel, and the city’s rail terminal which offers high-speed train services to China and, in the future, to Thailand.
