The addition of the na Vanua Conservation Hub in conjunction with the Ahura Resorts Conservation Foundation. “na Vanua,” translating to “the land” in Fijian, holds significant cultural and ecological meaning. In the Fijian culture, “vanua” encompasses more than just the physical land; it also includes the people, their traditions, customs, and the natural environment. It represents a deep connection and respect for the land, acknowledging its role in sustaining life and community. The conservation hub celebrates the resort’s ongoing partnership with their traditional land-owners to preserve and protect the local environment and traditions.
na Vanua will be a journey of discovery where guests will begin a progressive set of activities incorporating some of the key conservation projects underway at the resort and throughout the island.
