BANGKOK, THAILAND – Jono Hotels, Thailand’s newest innovative hotel group dedicated to a new generation of digital nomads, invites savvy European explorers to rediscover ‘The Land of Smiles in 2023. Jono’s unique positioning as a fun, happy-go-lucky brand lets every guest squeeze the utmost out of their travels and uncover the heart and soul of their chosen destination.

In late 2022, Jono (which derives from “Journey of the Nomad”) opened its first two hotels in Bangkok and Phuket. Inspired by their locale and seamlessly delivering upon guests’ needs to keep fully connected while cutting out needless hassles, these two contemporary hotels will let travelers see Thailand from a different perspective.

Whatever destination customers choose for whatever reason, Jono aims to streamline their experience with cutting-edge in-room tech like the 55″ Smart TVs with streaming capabilities, complimentary lightning-fast Wi-Fi, and more. The dedicated Jono app lets guests order room service, make travel arrangements, book activities, and even chat with the lobby crew in their native tongue from their smartphones! Creative execs, remote nomads, and entrepreneurs can enjoy the cozy co-working areas and social spaces to get that last bit of work done.

Jono offers the easiest way for guests to experience the hip and streetwise lifestyle of Bangkok’s Asok district or the island paradise on one of Phuket’s most iconic coastal backdrops, Karon Beach. Catering to the needs of curious couples, freewheeling families, fun-seeking friends, or ageless adventurers, the brand embodies a fresh look at Thailand’s wonders this winter.

JonoX Phuket Karon became the world’s first Jono-branded hotel when it swung open its doors in October 2022. Nestled in Karon Beach, a majestic seafront enclave on Phuket’s sunset coast, this intelligent hotel features 121 contemporary rooms, including a collection of RechargeX Family Rooms with bunk beds for kids. The 360 Restaurant offers a unique dining experience with freshly-made local and international cuisine prepared to dazzle the tastebuds. Simultaneously, Altitude Rooftop Bar keeps its doors open late into the tropical evening for like-minded nomads to socialize over signature cocktails and smooth vibes.

The triumphant launch of JonoX Phuket Karon almost resembles a fairytale, given the challenges of recent years past with the global pandemic. The hotel also stands as a testament to the changing needs of travelers in the new normal. Within days of opening, occupancies were well into the nineties on most days in the remaining two months of quarter 4, 2022, a trend that has continued into quarter 1 of 2023. JonoX Phuket Karon has also acquired rave reviews, receiving excellent feedback from partners and guests alike from the US, Europe, and CIS markets, with the spacious RechargeX Family room with bunkbeds a favorite amongst nomads.

Jono Bangkok Asok made its debut in November 2022, bringing Jono’s innovative upbeat vibe to the streets of Sukhumvit Bangkok, the Thai capital’s leisure epicenter. Surrounded by numerous shopping malls, restaurants, bars, parks, and iconic landmarks, this select-service lifestyle hotel helps digital nomads stay, play, relax and recharge. A respite from the bustling streets, the signature lobby is also the property’s communal hub, blending the facilities of a lounge, kitchen, and co-working space with complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi and free coffee 24hrs a day. With 65 rooms in three intriguing room categories, Jono Bangkok Asok lets guests conquer the streets by day and sheets by night with their windowless Snooze Complete Blackout Rooms doubling down on the budding trend of sleep tourism for the ultimate recharge.

In unison with the southern wonder kid in Karon Phuket, Jono Bangkok Asok has also had its share of success following its soft opening in mid-November 2022. A favorite for nomads from the US, Europe, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and other Southeast Asian countries, the hotel has remained consistently busy, particularly over the festive season due to its prime location. A big draw for most has been the co-living co-working lobby, open 24 hrs a day, offering complimentary tea, coffee, and hot chocolate.

“Jono Hotels brings back the sense of discovery to global travel. For a new generation of digital nomads, the hotel is no longer a destination but a launchpad from which they can uncover new experiences and adventures. Designed to provide today’s wanderers with everything they need to maximize their holiday, our hotels remove all the unnecessary fluff and sidestep the cliché hotel experience,” said Björn Richardson, Senior Vice President – Hospitality and Property Operations at Boutique Corporation PLC.

“We want to tear down boundaries, enable extraordinary adventures and let our customers unveil the authentic spirit of a destination. Whether they crave the buzz of city life or enjoy a playful beachfront break, Jono Hotels is here to make every vacation casual and carefree with smart tech putting the entire destination at guests’ fingertips,” he added.

With the successful launches of JonoX Phuket Karon and Jono Bangkok Asok in 2022, Jono Hotels will continue to grow its lineup of new and thrilling hotels beyond 2023, with Bangkok hot on the radar for the next nomadic hideout.
