Amari Raaya Maldives to open early Summer, 2023

The resort will introduce 187 villas on the island and over-water, ranging from 61 sq.m to 1228 sq.m.

BANGKOK – Set on one of the lushest natural islands in the Raa Atoll, Amari Raaya Maldives is set to open in Early Summer 2023, celebrating the art and beauty of the archipelago’s natural riches.

Located 45 minutes by seaplane from Velana International Airport, Amari Raaya Maldives is an accessible option for travellers visiting the Maldives and it is the second Maldives hotel opened by ONYX Hospitality Group.

Commenting on the opening, Mr. Yuthachai Charanachitta, Owner and CEO, ONYX Hospitality Group said: “We are delighted to be nearing completion of Amari Raaya Maldives. This island will have so much to offer, the scale of the resort is impressive, as is the natural beauty of the island. Together with our partner, Panchshil Realty, we eagerly anticipate sharing the resort with the world when it launches this summer.”

The resort will introduce 187 villas on the island and over-water, ranging from 61 sq.m to 1228 sq.m. Other feature highlights include seven dining options, a Maai Spa and comprehensive facilities for young children and teenagers. Families and groups can opt for a Family Beach or Family Beach Pool Villa, a unique accommodation style, offering two-interconnected villas and a shared private outdoor living space for quality time together.

Situated on one of the largest natural islands in Raa Atoll, at 390,000 square metres (39 hectares), Amari Raaya has been sympathetically designed to limit the impact on the indigenous flora and fauna, with much of the lush forest reserved for guest enjoyment, including a natural mangrove with walking path, ideal for exploring. The local reef is also home to an abundance of ocean life including sea turtles, and in season the famous bioluminescent plankton.
