Amari Bangkok partners with GB Limousine and TAT to promote sustainable tourism

Amari Bangkok collaborates with GB Limousine and TAT to advance eco-friendly tourism, focusing on low-carbon transportation and sustainable practices.

ONYX Hospitality Group announced a collaboration to promote sustainable tourism between its flagship Amari property, Amari Bangkok, alongside GB Limousine Co., Ltd. (GB Limousine) and industry leaders such as the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT). The partnership focuses on selecting low-carbon transportation systems and discussing innovations in eco-friendly tourism. The press conference to announce the partnership was held at Amari Bangkok.

During the event, Sukamal Mondal, Area General Manager of ONYX Bangkok Properties, emphasised that in an era where sustainable development and environmental and social care are critical issues for all sectors, adopting low-carbon transportation systems is essential.

He noted that this approach is crucial to promote sustainability, particularly for the tourism industry, which is inherently linked to travel and transportation. For this reason, Amari Bangkok, under the management of ONYX Hospitality Group, in collaboration with GB Limousine Co., Ltd., aims to set industry standards by adopting environmentally friendly transportation systems. The hotel is also committed to integrating Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles into its service processes to achieve sustainable development.

Amari Bangkok has consistently emphasised sustainability. We have various projects aimed at reducing environmental impact, supporting local communities, and promoting ethical governance. These efforts benefit not only the environment and society but also enhance Amari Bangkok’s reputation, attracting sustainable travellers and tourists to choose our services, which may lead to long-term financial success. Above all, we believe that our commitment to ESG principles will enable Amari Bangkok to play a key role in creating a sustainable world,” said Sukamal.

Satit Chivangkur, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of GB Limousine Co., Ltd., revealed that the adoption of ESG principles is an important business strategy. “The adoption of low-emission vehicles, implementation of environmentally friendly practices, and participation in community-driven projects demonstrate our serious commitment to developing our business while genuinely working on environmental and social sustainability. This not only tangibly reduces carbon dioxide emissions but also enhances brand value and increases customer trust. This approach not only ensures long-term customer satisfaction and loyalty but also positions us as a responsible and visionary leader in the limousine industry,” said Satit.

For the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), Kitti Pornsiwakit, TAT board member and chairman of Smart Tourism at the Tourism Council of Thailand (TCT), shared his strategic vision. He said that TAT consistently supports and promotes sustainable, responsible, and environmentally friendly tourism. By launching outstanding and engaging tourism campaigns, these TAT tourism innovations help Thailand preserve its natural beauty while attracting a new generation of eco-conscious travellers.

TAT aims to sustainably preserve Thailand’s natural beauty and vibrant cultural heritage through campaigns and projects that encourage travellers and stakeholders in the tourism and hospitality industry to take responsibility for sustainability. This initiative hopes to protect Thailand’s environmental and cultural resources in the long term. Importantly, this approach enhances the country’s appeal to tourists and supports the broader goal of maintaining Thailand’s status as a leading destination in the global tourism landscape.”

The collaboration between Amari Bangkok, GB Limousine Co., Ltd., and the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) in their commitment to sustainable business development sets a new standard for the tourism and hospitality industry. These three organisations aim to encourage industry businesses to prioritise environmental, social, and governance considerations, paving the way for genuine sustainability in the future.
