REPORT – ITB Asia 2024 has officially opened its doors today at Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, with Dr. Mario Tobias, CEO of Messe Berlin, extending a warm welcome to all attendees. The event, now in its 7th year, continues to solidify its position as a premier platform for the global travel and tourism industry.
ITB Asia 2024 showcases an expansive 17,000 square meters of exhibition space, bringing together global thought leaders, innovators, and industry professionals. Exhibitors span various sectors including airlines, hotels, cruises, MICE, and the rapidly growing travel technology space. Travel Tech Asia, a dedicated segment, features cutting-edge technologies and start-ups that promise to shape the future of travel.
Dr. Tobias highlighted the significant growth in participation from international tourism organizations, with over 60 entities represented. Notably, Africa saw a 75% increase in representation, while Europe grew by 25%, underlining ITB Asia 2024’s truly global appeal. Major exhibitors include Visit Norway, Oman’s Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, and India’s Ministry of Tourism, among many others.
This year’s conference, themed “Innovating for Tomorrow,” emphasizes future resilience, corporate and leisure travel trends, and advancements in travel technologies. With over 160 speakers and 100 sessions packed into three days, ITB Asia 2024 promises unparalleled opportunities for knowledge sharing and business development.
