ASIA DMC showcases the “spirit of travel” at ITB Berlin

Tuk-tuks in Thailand

From self-drive tuk tuk journeys through Thailand to community projects in Cambodia, pioneering travel company ASIA DMC will reveal a series of authentic activities at the world’s largest travel expo.

HANOI, VIETNAM – Award-winning destination management company, ASIA DMC, will showcase its pioneering “Spirit of Travel” philosophy at ITB Berlin, the world’s biggest international travel trade show, from 7th to 11th March 2018.

The pan-Asian travel company will use this major annual expo to highlight the authentic adventures and immersive journeys it offers all across the region. Over the course of the three-day event, trade partners and the media will learn how ASIA DMC is different from its competitors, due to its focus on local experiences that create lasting benefits and memories.

We are delighted to be returning to ITB Berlin this year to showcase our unique Spirit of Travel philosophy to the international travel trade,” commented ASIA DMC’s Group Managing Director, Linh Le. “As a proud Asian company, we aim to deliver the timeless values of Eastern hospitality to all our guests, whilst also showcasing the distinctive cultures of this diverse region.

“ASIA DMC offers an array of tailor-made itineraries that allow our guests to discover the unique essence of each destination. From community visits to off-the-beaten-track adventures, urban explorations to rural retreats, we put the Spirit of Travel into every trip,” Linh added.

ASIA DMC’s Spirit of Travel philosophy allows visitors to discover the heart and soul of each destination in a variety of interesting and innovative ways.

In Thailand for example, the chance to self-drive a traditional tuk-tuk through the rolling countryside of Chiang Mai is too good an opportunity to miss! This amazing adventure will enable guests to discover the rich cultural tapestry of Northern Thailand in an unforgettable way.

Across the border in landlocked Laos, guests have the rare opportunity to spend time with one of Southeast Asia’s most isolated communities, the Ikhos. This adventure up the Nam Pak River will feel like a journey into another world.

Vietnam is ASIA DMC’s home, and this intimacy allows the company to showcase the true heart and soul of the country. For example, the “Backroads of Annam” adventure reveals the local attractions that lie between Hue and Hoi An. These include Tam Giang Lagoon, Bach Ma National Park and the rural district of A Luoi – captivating destinations that are overlooked by other travel companies.

Responsible travel is another integral part of the Spirit of Travel philosophy, and ASIA DMC’s guests have many opportunities to contribute to the communities they visit. On example of this is in Cambodia, where visitors can offset the carbon footprint of their trip by planting fruit trees in Preah Dak village. This also provides a source of income for the villagers.

These are just a small selection of the extensive collection of adventures and activities offered by ASIA DMC in its latest Spirit of Travel brochure. Trade partners and the media can learn about all of these excursions and many more at ITB Berlin.

In addition, the company will be able to provide updates about its ongoing sustainability commitments and achievements, which include ASIA DMC being awarded Partner status with Travelife, the training, management and certification initiative for tourism companies.
